Fennec Forms vs Gravity Forms
Gravity Forms is a mature, paid form builder with a large add-on catalogue, and every license includes conditional logic, multi-page forms and uploads. Fennec Forms puts those in a free plugin, along with fee-free Stripe payments and webhooks that Gravity Forms reserves for its higher licenses.

Where Fennec Forms differs
- You can run Fennec Forms without paying anything: logic, multi-step forms, uploads, stored entries, Stripe payments and webhooks are all in the free plugin.
- Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 so the receiver can verify each request.
- Forms Pro adds calculations, notification routing, subscriptions and webhook retries for $59/yr (1 site) or $99/yr (5 sites); if the license lapses, Pro keeps working.
What Fennec Forms doesn't do (yet)
- Gravity Forms has years of add-ons and integrations behind it; Fennec Forms had its first stable release in October 2026.
- Gravity Forms has more field types and a longer refund window.
- Fennec Forms supports Stripe only, and native CRM integrations are still planned.
- Fennec Forms isn’t on WordPress.org yet; you download it from fennecpress.com.
Moving from Gravity Forms
- Install and activate Fennec Forms on the same site. Leave your current form plugin active for now.
- Go to Fennec Forms → Tools. Forms found in the Gravity Forms tables are listed automatically; you can also upload an export file.
- Tick the forms to bring over (and “Copy entries too” where the source keeps entries), then import.
- Read the import report: it lists every field mapped to the closest type, anything not imported, conditional logic and notifications.
- Imported forms arrive as drafts. Check each one, publish it, then swap the block or shortcode on your pages.
Limits to know about
- Forms, fields, conditional logic and notifications come across, and entries can be copied too. Re-running skips entries already copied.
- From another site, upload a Gravity Forms export (.json); export files hold forms only, not entries.
- Only the default confirmation is imported; conditional confirmations aren’t supported yet.
- Gravity Forms is left untouched.
