This policy explains what personal information The Schoeller Group LLC ("Fennec Press," "we," "us") collects when you use fennecpress.com, buy from us, or use our WordPress plugins' license and update services, and what we do with it. We are the controller of that information. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for cross-site advertising.
1. Our plugins keep your site's data on your site
Fennec Forms, Members and Learn run on your WordPress site. Form entries, members, course progress, payments and settings are stored in your site's database and in services you connect (for example your own Stripe account), not with us. We cannot see that data and we don't process it for you. The free plugins send nothing to us. The Pro add-ons send only what is needed for licensing and updates, described exactly on What the plugins send. If you run a site with our plugins, you are responsible for your own privacy notice to your visitors and members.
2. What we collect
You give us
- Account details: your email address, name if you give it, and sign-in details. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
- Purchase details: name, email, billing address and country (for tax), what you bought, and when. Stripe collects your payment details directly. We never see or store full card numbers.
- License details: your license keys, tier and expiry, and the website addresses where you activate a key.
- AI Pre-Fill content: the text, files (spreadsheets, CSV or PDF) or links you give us to pre-fill a template, the profile you review and save, and the file we build for you. These can include information about other people, such as an owner roster; only share what you are allowed to.
- Messages and forms: what you send us by email, contact, feedback, review or custom-work forms, and newsletter sign-ups.
Collected automatically
- From the Pro add-ons: the license key, plugin name, your site's address and the WordPress version, plus the IP address the request comes from (details on What the plugins send).
- Usage and device data: pages visited, referring site and campaign tags, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and performance measurements. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, and, only if you allow it, Google Analytics.
- Error reports: if something breaks, our error-monitoring service records technical details such as the page, browser and IP address.
- Email events: whether our emails were delivered or bounced and, where enabled, opened or clicked.
- Security logs: IP addresses and request details used briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and standard logs kept by our hosting provider.

3. How we use it, and our legal bases
- To provide what you ask for (contract): your account, checkout, delivering downloads, issuing and checking licenses, updates, trials, AI Pre-Fill, support and refunds.
- To keep records we must keep (legal obligation): invoices, tax and accounting records.
- To run and protect the business (legitimate interests): preventing fraud, license abuse and attacks; fixing errors; understanding how the site is used in aggregate; improving our products; and sending service messages about products you bought, such as license, renewal and security notices.
- With your consent: the newsletter and other marketing email (unsubscribe at any time from any email) and analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. AI Pre-Fill and AI providers
When you use AI Pre-Fill, what you submit is sent through Vercel's AI Gateway to the AI model provider listed on our service providers page, only to produce the pre-filled result. Under those providers' commercial terms your content is not used to train their models. Uploaded source files are processed in memory and not stored by us. The profile you save and the file we build are kept in private storage so you can download them again; ask us and we will delete them.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run fennecpress.com (payments, hosting, database and authentication, email, analytics, error monitoring, rate limiting and AI), under contracts that limit their use of it to providing their service to us. They are listed on our service providers page. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights, safety or security, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply. Public reviews you post on third-party sites such as Trustpilot are governed by those sites.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers mainly process data in the US. When personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred to the US, we rely on our providers' data processing agreements, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.
7. How long we keep it
- Account: while your account is active. When you ask us to delete it, we delete your account and the personal information linked to it (including AI Pre-Fill profiles and built files) within 30 days, except what we must keep for the reasons below.
- Orders, invoices, licenses and tax records: 7 years, as tax and accounting law requires. This includes the license record and the site addresses where it was activated.
- Support emails and form messages: 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Server, error and security logs: up to 90 days. Rate-limit counters: minutes to hours.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe; we keep a suppression record so we don't email you again.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, or stop marketing email. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain uses, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent.
California and other US states: residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws have rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale, of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, and of profiling. We don't sell or share personal information in those senses and don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of analytics cookies. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorised agent; we will ask them for proof of authority.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: you have the GDPR rights listed above and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email hello@fennecpress.com from the address on your account. We verify requests by confirming control of that email address and reply within 30 days (45 days where US state law allows, with notice). If we decline a request, we explain why and how you can appeal: reply to our decision and we will review it within 45 days.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, private storage with expiring download links, hashed passwords, rate limiting and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires. To report a vulnerability, see our security page.
10. Children
fennecpress.com is for adults and businesses. It is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post any update here with a new date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
