Fennec Forms vs WPForms
WPForms is one of the most widely installed form builders for WordPress, and its paid plans are polished. The difference that matters most is what the free edition does: Fennec Forms keeps entries on your site and includes logic, multi-step forms, uploads and fee-free Stripe payments without a paid plan.

Where Fennec Forms differs
- Entries are stored in your own WordPress database from day one, with search, CSV export, notes and spam/trash views, in the free plugin.
- Conditional logic, multi-step forms, file uploads and signed webhooks are free, with no limit on forms or entries.
- Stripe payments go to your own Stripe account with no Fennec fee, in the free plugin and in Pro.
- Nothing leaves your site unless you set up webhooks, payments or a CAPTCHA.
What Fennec Forms doesn't do (yet)
- Fennec Forms is new (first stable release in October 2026) and has far fewer templates.
- There are no native CRM or email-marketing integrations yet; you connect tools through webhooks (Zapier, Make, n8n). Native integrations are planned for Pro.
- Only Stripe is supported for payments, and subscriptions need Forms Pro.
- Fennec Forms isn’t on WordPress.org yet; you download it from fennecpress.com.
Moving from WPForms
- Install and activate Fennec Forms on the same site. Leave your current form plugin active for now.
- Go to Fennec Forms → Tools. Forms found in the WPForms tables are listed automatically; you can also upload an export file.
- Tick the forms to bring over (and “Copy entries too” where the source keeps entries), then import.
- Read the import report: it lists every field mapped to the closest type, anything not imported, conditional logic and notifications.
- Imported forms arrive as drafts. Check each one, publish it, then swap the block or shortcode on your pages.
Limits to know about
- Entries come across from WPForms Pro (paid). WPForms Lite doesn’t keep entries on your site, so only forms are imported.
- You can also upload a WPForms export (.json) from another site; export files hold forms only, not entries.
- Only the first confirmation is imported; conditional confirmations aren’t supported yet.
- Nothing in WPForms is changed, so you can compare side by side before switching.
